So I saw the new Harry Potter movie last night, and this is what I thought of it...

How many ways can a person ruin a book?
First and foremost everything is sporadic. A lot of stuff in it I don't remembering happening. The director also took truths and twisted them, making them come about differently. Don't get me wrong it looked cool as hell, and will be a huge success. I will most likely see it a few more times. I am just a little disappointed.

I am disappointed with the fact that Remus and Tonks are an established couple in the early middle of the movie.
Disappointed with the fact that Ginny and Harry get together in the room of requirements when Harry is hiding the book instead of after the match.
Disappointed that there is no funeral for Dumbledore. His death was moving, but Merlin's Beard Dumbledore deserved a funeral in the movie!!!!
Disappointed that they gave Draco a mark. Especially since Jo never confirmed if he had one or not, and honestly I don't see ol' red eyes rewarding him with a mark for Lucius' failure!
I would have loved to see Myrtle in the bathroom scene, I think she would have made it more intense and shed more humanity on Draco.
WHY DIDN'T HARRY CRADLE DRACO IN HIS ARMS WHILE HE BLED?!?!?! (perhaps this is just wishful thinking on my part)
I don't remember Bella and Greyback going to the Weasleys during Chirstmas and blowing up their house....but maybe that's just me.
In my opinion, Bill is has a bigger roll in the next book so why not put him in this movie? Plus the scene where Fleur is all offended over the fact that they think she is shallow is amazing to me. Also that is where we are supposed to see the forming bond between Remus and Tonks.I wish they showed How truly obsessed with Draco Harry was.
Lastly, what the fuck is up with Narcissa's hair? I kept hoping they would see that as an error on their part.

I don't want to seem as if I don't like it, I did, I just didn't love it nor did I think it do the book any justice. I like to think of it as the Half-Blood Prince Revised.

Things I loved:
The Quidditch match, Horace Slughorn, the over all humor, the actual portrayal of feelings, the way they showed what Draco was doing in the Room of Requirement, Luna, Young Riddle (he was very androgenous), Bellatrix, the way Harry force feeds Dumledore, the fore shadowing about horcruxes as Dumbledore looks at Harry's scar, the way Severus looks at Dumbledore almost stoicly pleading right before Dumbledore says "Severus Please" then AK's his ass. OH and I really loved the way Harry almost made his own date in the beginning, then the way Dumbledore ruined it. Is it just me or did you want to shoot Lavender? There are more but I can't bore you anymore than I must.

The waiting was fine, they let us into the theater at ten, and all the fucking fan girls were going ape shit. When the previews started they squealed in some kind of insane fangirl chorus. When the preview for New Moon came out they also went batshit. I can't stand Rob Pattison or whatever, although the love child of Sirius and Remus is amazingly delicious when shirtless....I don't know the name of the kid who plays Jacob Black but whatever. However I will say that when the movie started they didn't scream or talk! YAY! Anyways that is it, I am off to bed! Again I think!
